Cool-ass games with dots in their names!!

As some of you know, I have been following S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Shadow of Chernobyl for a little over 2 years now including 2 name changes. I have very high hopes for this game but I'm worried that it is turning into another Half-Life 2 unfortunately. The developers have postponed the game about 4 times now and I'm pretty damn sure its going to happen again. The development team is reasonably small so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt...but for how long? I'm not sure!

There's also 2 other new games that I want to mention...those would be F.E.A.R. and Project Offset (name subject to change). If you haven't tried the F.E.A.R. single-player demo, you need to slap yourself because that game is fantastic! Great graphics, destructible environments, slow-mo, hand & foot melee and a REALLY SCARY storyline complete with creepy children = instant game of the year or (DARE I SAY) instant Half-Life 2 replacement for best game ever made! Seriously, if you haven't played the single player demo, IT IS A MUST DOWNLOAD - YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

As for "Project Offset" - this game is still pretty early in development but the real-time, in-game footage on the game's website looks phenomenal. It's going to be a Mythalogical First-Person Shooter which is cool because it's a fresh idea. The game engine easily looks as good or even better than Unreal Engine 3.0 which is no easy task for sure. I'm going to be watching this game through its development and hopefully it will turn out to be a classic!
